Many households and businesses have suffered damage as a result of Storm Ophelia. We are acutely aware of circumstances facing those affected and encourage you to contact us if you need financial support or advise.
If you have experienced storm damage in your home you can avail of a range of mortgage supports tailored to your circumstances, which may include an option to pause principal repayments for up to six months in particular situations.
We have a dedicated response line to support you – number is 1890 242 425. Open Monday – Friday from 8am to 9pm and Saturdays 9am to 6pm.
A team of experienced advisors will be on hand to assist you and connect you to the relevant support where necessary.

AIB have a range of measures to assist you if you hold a home, car or travel insurance policy with us.
If your home or car has been damaged by the hurricane or if your travel plans have been affected, we have a team of dedicated advisors on hand to assist you with any claim you may wish to make. You may also be entitled to some of the following:
Emergency home assistance to help with any emergency repairs, like a burst pipe, broken roof tiles or an electrical problem.
Immediate payment for alternative accommodation if your house has been badly damaged and alternative accommodation is necessary in your circumstances.
Compensation if you had to cancel or rearrange your travel plans due to the cancellation of flights or sailings.
Roadside assistance if your car is broken down.
