WITH extended opening hours and a team of expert advisors, we’re coming to Grand Canal Dock.

Alongside our recent openings in Little Island, Corkand The Park, Carrickmines, the new AIB Outlet in Grand Canal will open its doors this month.

And we can’t wait to get to know our new neighbours, including family-run bakery Lolly & Cooks.

A popular eatery with residents and professionals who work nearby, the bakery opened its newest outlet in Grand Canal in 2014 and co-owner Gail Strahan enjoys working in the area.

She explains: “There’s a really nice atmosphere around Grand Canal at the moment. In the last year and half in particular there’s been a huge increase in the number of people living and working here.

“It just keeps growing, and there’s a great energy around the place.”

One of a host of busy businesses in the area, Lolly & Cooks will welcome having an AIB outlet close to their Grand Canal shop.

With extended opening hours from 8am to 6pm Mondays, Tuesday, Wednesdays and Fridays, 8am to 8pm on Thursdays, and 10am to 2pm on Saturdays, the outlet is available to businesses and consumers in the area at times that suit them.

Gail sys: “It’s been great for us to have a good relationship with AIB as we’ve expanded our business over the years. We’ve been with them from the very start and they’ve always been very supportive of our plans.

“Having an AIB near us in Grand Canal is going to be a big help on a day to day level.”

Along with a team of highly trained staff to help with queries on services from business loans to personal mortgages, the outlet is kitted out with a full range of self-service facilities, including Lodgement machines, Tablet Banking, and Kiosk Banking to make daily banking a breeze.

Set to lead the team at the outlet, manager John Reilly is excited to become a part of this energetic community.

He says: “It’s a great area to be in. You can see from the location here that it’s right in the heart of things.

“We’re right around all the large multinational companies and it’s an innovative, young vibrant place. The staff here are really enthusiastic and they’re looking forward to it.

“They’re all QFA qualified and highly skilled so they’re looking forward to the opportunity.”

Along with the new outlets in Little Island, Cork and The Park, Carrickmines, the Grand Canal outlet is part of the first branch openings for AIB in three years.

The new locations were carefully chosen, as Denis O’Callaghan, AIB’s Head of Distribution explains: “We took a lot of time to really analyse these marketplaces.

“What we discovered was there are a lot of businesses, a lot of employment, and consequently a lot of people working in these locations, and they had a real need for banking services.”

“But it had to be a different type of banking service because of the hours that these potential customers worked”

The Grand Canal outlet is that different type of service. It’s designed with your life and your schedule and mind.

We’re excited to join the neighbourhood. Come say hello.
