Group Risk is an independent, second line of defence that monitors, controls and supports risk-taking activities across AIB.
The Risk Function provides advice and guidance in relation to risk and provides independent oversight and reporting on AIB’s risk profile.
Its main objective is to ensure AIB has a robust risk management framework and culture in place to ensure risks are taken within the risk appetite set by the Board, in support of its customer franchise and social responsibility.
There are over 700 Risk professionals working within the Risk Function, across a range of teams including Compliance, Credit Risk, and Operational Risk among others and are based in multiple geographical locations.
