A big congratulations goes to the runners up in the AIB Build a Bank Challenge 2014/2015, 'Dingo Dollars' from Dunshaughlin Community College, Meath. The team won a prize of €3000 for the school with individual prizes for the students.

The team’s dedication throughout the year and sheer determination cannot be denied and their success is well deserved. The team were accompanied to National Finals in Dublin by their teacher Ms. Regan and the members are:

What set Dingo Dollars apart
Dingo Dollars made its bank stand out from the competition by making their customer experience and customer journey their main focus through their dedicated customer service In particular, Dingo Dollars excelled in the area of engaging with their local community.

They also raised a lot of money for charity through their online campaign, #SeeThroughMyEyes through bucket collections, raffles and bake sales in their school. They recognised the importance of their community and aimed to give back to it as much as possible, proudly sponsoring YSPI throughout the challenge.

The main skills Dingo Dollars learned
The team learned to work together in preparing for the AIB Build a Bank Challenge 2015. Along the way, they picked up invaluable skills in the areas of organisation, business, communication, how to market a service offering and how to promote a brand. They said ‘All this was achieved in a fun and constantly changing way’.

The best part of the day
Besides being selected as one of the winners of the AIB Build a Bank Challenge 2015, Dingo Dollars enjoyed the amazing chill out zone provided on the day most and enjoyed meeting the other teams.

Advice for students considering taking part next year
Through all the skills the guys have learned and all the great experiences they have had throughout the competition, they would all definitely recommend taking part in the AIB Build a Bank Challenge to any students considering taking part next year.

Regardless of whether you’ve studied business up until this, Dingo Dollars feel the AIB Build a Bank Challenge provides all the participants with the opportunity to learn invaluable new skills in a hands on manner.
