Opened on October 28th, the new AIB Outlet in Little Island is one of three new outlets we’re opening in coming weeks to bring extended opening hours and a range of self service facilities to local customers & businesses.

Are you based in Little Island? With extended opening hours from 8am to 6pm, our team will be on hand to ensure that you can access the services you need, whether it’s before or after work, at a time that suit you.

We’ve also got a highly trained team on site, to offer you the full range of AIB’s services, from mortgages to personal account products to student and youth accounts to business loans. And if you prefer to use our self service facilities, the new Outlet is equipped with the full range - from Cash and Cheque Lodgement machines & Kiosk Banking, to Tablet Banking, to make your banking experience as fast and hassle free as possible.

With over 1,000 businesses located around Little Island, the outlet’s team of five will be led by Gerard Burgoyne. And the team are looking forward to getting out to meet new and existing customers over the next number of months.

An exciting new locality for AIB, Gerard said: “People in the community are very much looking forward to coming and seeing what we’re all about. The ethos of the team will be to set the bar high from the very start and deliver exceptional customer service.”

An important business hub for Cork, up to 15,000 people are employed around the area, with well-known national and international names as well as many innovative SMEs operating from the park.

The new outlet will be an active member of the surrounding business community, and reaffirms AIB’s commitment to being available to customers at all times, whether it’s online, by phone, or in person.

Gerard added: “We are very externally focused and will be getting out and meeting people and adding value to the local community.

“There are over a thousand businesses here and it’s growing all the time. We’re excited to be a part of that.”

The Cork opening will be accompanied by the opening of two additional new AIB outlets in Dublin, at The Park, Carrickmines and Grand Canal Dock. These new outlets represent the first branch openings for AIB in three years.

Denis O’Callaghan, AIB’s Head of Distribution, explained that the new openings are a very positive move for the communities involved and for AIB as a whole: “Critically this is about providing support and advice to our customers, so they’ll be able to come and have a conversation about any product or service that AIB offers.”

“And indeed they won’t have to come all the time, because how we’re setting ourselves up in these locations is that we will be outbound into the local marketplace so we can be as convenient to our customers as necessary.”
