Annual Financial Results 2023

AIB delivered an exceptionally strong financial performance in 2023 with profit after tax of €2 billion, a RoTE significantly ahead of target and proposed distributions of €1.7 billion. 2023 was a landmark year for AIB as we concluded our 2021-2023 strategic cycle by enhancing the suite of products and services we provide to our record customer base of 3.3 million as well as transforming the business throughout a period of extraordinary change both globally and domestically.

2023 Half-Yearly Financial Results

As we enter the final stages of our three-year transformation strategy, AIB Group has delivered a strong financial and operational performance with after-tax profits of €845m in the first half of the year. Gross loans rose to €62.8 billion driven by a combination of acquired new loans and new lending of €5.6 billion. Underpinned by our long-standing commitment to Sustainability and to the communities in which we serve, AIB is well-placed to support our 3.2 million customers and the wider Irish economy. 2023 is expected to be a very strong year and with a transformed Group, we are now planning for the next strategic cycle. Our focus remains on supporting our customers creating shareholder value and sustainable returns.
