My Mortgage, Ireland's very first online mortgage tool

If you weren't already familiar, let me introduce you to 'My Mortgage'. Ireland's very first online mortgage tool allows you to upload your documents on your mobile phone and track your mortgage application. Plus, there is the opportunity to use the message function to chat with one of our expert mortgage advisors with any questions you might have.

And that's not all. My Mortgage also lets you view the steps or tasks required to progress your application (whether you’re buying or building) and download relevant documents and bank templates relating to your application.

To get set up, the first thing you need to do is apply for your mortgage in branch, over the phone or online to get access to the app. Now, you can progress your application on the My Mortgage app as you receive a text message with a link and an access code. Follow the link and add the page to your home screen so you can access it at any time, super quick.

The next few steps are pretty simple, if you have applied for your mortgage in branch or over the phone you will need to enter the mobile number associated with your mortgage application, the registration code from the text message you received, the Mortgage Reference Number that is on your Approval in Principle letter, tick the usual 'I am not a robot' box and click 'Create a password'. Once you've created a password, you can log in to confirm your registration.

If you have applied for your mortgage online, we will register you for My Mortgage as part of this process.

After that quick and simple sign-up process, you're all set up. You'll be presented with a few slides that show you exactly how the app works and what it can be used for.

By breaking your mortgage journey down into simple steps (Approval in Principle, My Documents, Property & Solicitor Details and Final Steps), you'll be able to easily move from one stage to the next and still ask any questions you may have along the way, with our AIB mortgage advisors on hand whenever you need help.
