Agri Matters - Winter Edition

It is fair to say that 2022 was a year like no other for the Agri sector and looking ahead to 2023, it would appear further changes are on the way. In this edition of Agri Matters, Donal Whelton reflects on 2022 and considers the impact of higher output prices and input prices across all farm sectors. We feature an interview with Colin Doherty, Grass10 Grassland Farmer of the Year and a review of the Irish Grassland Association Dairy Summer Tour. We continue our signpost series with an article on reducing emissions on farms. This edition also includes an economic outlook while Liam Phelan, AIB Agri Advisor discusses the changes to Direct Payments under the new Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) Programme.
