Important upcoming changes to bulk payments

Verification of Payee
We're introducing a new security check for SEPA payments called 'Verification of Payee'. This added security measure lets you check the name on the account you are paying before making a payment.
For bulk payments this Verification of Payee service will let you check multiple payees through a portal which is provided by SurePay.
You'll need to register for access to the SurePay portal. For more information on how to register visit Verification of Payee.

ISO 20022
ISO 20022 is the new standard for payments and will help to improve the efficiency of your payments.
Your payment files must be in line with ISO 20022 Version 9 for SEPA Credit Transfers and Multi-Currency files and Version 8 for SEPA Direct Debit files by November 2026 for your files to be processed.
Bulk SEPA Instant Payments, when available, will use ISO 20022 Version 9 to process.
