Terms and Conditions for Current, Demand Deposit and Masterplan Accounts

14.1 We will comply with our obligations under all relevant data protection legislation in relation to the personal data we hold about you. For more information in relation to how we hold, process and disclose your information please see our data protection notice provided to you when you opened your Account. 

 

14.2 The Belgium based Society for Worldwide Interbank Financial Telecommunications (SWIFT) processes payments on behalf of financial services providers worldwide and is currently the only organisation providing such a service. All transactions processed in Belgium are replicated in a back-up system (known as a ‘mirror site’) in the United States of America (US). Maintaining a geographically separated back-up infrastructure to ensure continued operation is in line with international standards and supervisory requirements. On foot of official subpoenas, transaction data held in the US ‘mirror site’ may be disclosed to US or other authorities for the purposes of combating terrorism and other serious crimes. Therefore, any information you provide to us in order to effect a payment instruction could potentially be disclosed to the US authorities, and by instructing us to execute a payment instruction, you are implicitly giving your consent to such disclosure. 

 

 

14.4 We may be required to disclose certain information about you and your accounts with us to the Irish Revenue Commissioners and / or any other tax authority, either directly or via the Irish Revenue Commissioners, under any laws and regulations we are required to comply with.

SWIFT processes payments on behalf of Financial Institutions worldwide and is currently the only organisation providing such a service. All transactions processed in Belgium are replicated in a back-up system (‘mirror site’) in the United States of America (US). Maintaining a geographically separated back-up infrastructure to ensure continued operation is in line with international standards and supervisory requirements. On foot of official subpoena(s), transaction data held in the US ‘mirror site’ may be disclosed to US or other authorities for the purposes of combating terrorism and other serious crimes. We reserve the right to amend this notice at any time and you should regularly check for any amendments.

Currency Fixed Term Deposit Account Terms and Conditions

 

 

10.6 We will comply with our obligations under the Data Protection Acts, 1988 and 2003 (as amended from time to time) as regards relevant data in our possession relating to you. Subject to you paying any applicable fee, you have the right under those Acts to obtain a copy of the personal data that we hold about you.

 

10.7 You agree that we may hold and process information about you for the purposes of operating your Account and can disclose such information to other AIB Group companies and any other third parties or agents involved directly or indirectly in the provision of such services.

We will assume that you accept the changes to the terms and conditions when you use the products and services affected by these changes after 25th May 2018. If you do not wish to accept the updated terms and conditions, you are entitled to cancel your account or card or service in accordance with the existing terms and conditions.

In relation to existing Fixed Term Deposit Accounts which mature after 25th May 2018, if you do not wish to accept the updated terms and conditions, you are entitled to remain on the existing terms and conditions until the maturity date. At the maturity date, if your account rolls over, the relevant updated terms and conditions will apply to that account.
