If you need to lodge cash and cheques at the post office, you will need to lodge each separately which means you will pay two €0.39 AIB transaction fees. We will charge these fees to your AIB account each quarter. Click here for further information on AIB fees and charges for Personal Accounts.
We will not credit cheques lodged at the post office to an AIB account until we receive them. We usually receive cheques the next business day after you lodge them at a post office, if you have lodged them up to 15 minutes before the last time of posting.
Information on the last time of posting is displayed in the post office.
We receive cheques lodged into your account after the last time of posting two business days later. You should not use this money until the cheques have cleared.
Transaction limit amounts quoted in the tables above are specific to transactions carried out at the post office.
You can find details of your nearest post office at anpost.com/store-locator.
