Credit Card Fees and Charges
1. Cash Advance Fee
1.5% of value (Minimum €1.90). For Personal Premier Visa cardholders, the Cash Advance Fee is 1.75% of value (Minimum €1.90).
For CLICK and ‘be’ cardholders this fee will apply for accounts both in debit and credit. For all other credit card types, this fee will not apply if your account is in credit for the full amount of the transaction when it is debited to your account.
2. Currency Conversion Fees
Transactions performed abroad may be subject to a Currency Conversion Fee as illustrated in the table below
Note: No Currency Conversion Fees apply on Euro transactions.

3. Late Payment Fee
Should payments not be made in accordance with the Agreement, a Late Payment Fee of €7.00 will be applied to the card account.
4. Over Limit Fee
The Over Limit Fee of €7.00 will apply, the first time your balance exceeds your credit limit in each statement period.
5. Returned Payment Fee
Should any payment either by cheque or direct debit be returned unpaid, a Returned Payment Fee of €7.00 will be applied to the card account.
6. Miscellaneous Charges
Copy Sales Voucher Fee
Should you request a copy of a sales voucher, a €5.00 fee per voucher will be applied to the card account.
Copy Statement Fee
Should you request a copy of a statement, a €4.00 fee per statement will be applied to the card account
7. Government Stamp Duty
Government Stamp Duty of €30 is charged annually per Credit Card account
Revenue have amended the charging period to bring it in line with the calendar year. This will mean that GSD on credit cards will be charged on the 1st January 2024 in arrears.
To facilitate the change and a shorter chargeable period (2 April 2023 to 31 December 2023), a reduced GSD of €22.50 will be charged on the 1st January 2024. If you close your card during this period (2nd April 2023 to 31st December 2023) you’ll be charged €22.50 on closure.
From 1st January 2024, GSD for credit cards will revert back to €30 and you’ll be charged on the 1st January 2025.
