How do I change my address online?
Log in to AIB Mobile Banking or Internet Banking
Click on Services and select My Details.
Follow the instructions on screen to update your address.
Please Note:
To change your address on Internet Banking you will need your AIB Card Reader.
Once the address change has been completed you will receive a confirmation message in your online banking 'My Messages' inbox.

Do I need a card reader to change my address?
For AIB Mobile Banking you won’t need an AIB Card Reader to change your address but you will need one for AIB Internet Banking.

How long will my address take to update?
Your Change of Address request will be fully completed within 1 business day. If you have a Finance & Leasing Account or a Currency Account, it may take up to 3 business days to update for those accounts. Once the address change has been completed you will receive a confirmation message in your online banking ‘My Messages’ inbox.
Please note: Any correspondence that is issued while we are processing your request may be sent to your previous address.

Why can’t I change my address for my account online?
Unfortunately we can’t change your address online if you find yourself in any of the following categories:
- You hold a joint account or product
- You hold an Ark Life, Irish Life or Direct Deposit product
- You hold a business account or a commercial credit card
- We do not hold a valid proof of identity or address for you
But you can change the address for one, or all of them by contacting your nearest branch or by calling our phone banking team on 0818 724 724 or +353 1 7712424

What if I have a joint account?
If you have a joint account, we can't change your address online. Please contact 0818 724 724 or +353 1 7712424 to speak to a Customer Service Advisor or you can call into your local branch for assistance in progressing with your request.

Can I change the address for my business online?
To change your business address, please contact your nearest branch or business centre or call your relationship manager.

I received an error message that I haven't provided proof of identity and address. What do I do now?
This means we need more documents from you to prove your identity and address. These are required by law. All you have to do is bring your identity and address documents to your nearest branch and we'll look after it from there.

I am an authorised user of a credit card. Can I change the address?
Only the person named on the card can change the address. If you ask them to update the address online or contact us through their nearest branch where we can arrange to change the address.

My address doesn't fit into the address fields, what do I do?
See if you can make the address line shorter to make it fit. We've set a limit of 25 characters for each address line, so that addresses appear in the window of an envelope.

I am not sure what my Eircode is, can I still enter my new address?
Yes, you can enter an address without the Eircode. When you submit your address change request we will try to locate your Eircode on your behalf.

I sometimes live abroad. Can I change my address to outside Ireland?
Yes, to change your address to outside Ireland, log into the AIB Mobile app or Internet Banking and choose the click on Services and select My Details. At this point, you can select the relevant country and change your address.
