How Can I Dispute a Transaction?

 

The first thing you should do is try to solve your dispute directly with person or company you paid. This is important because for most disputes we will ask you to prove that you tried to solve the issue directly first.

If unable to solve the dispute directly, the next step is to fill out a dispute resolution form. There are two ways you can do this:

1. Online via AIB Mobile Banking

·       Log in to AIB Mobile Banking

·       Tap Services, then Support

·       Tap Question a card payment

·       Select the reason for your query and complete each step

·       Tick the box to confirm your electronic signature

·       Tap Confirm, then Done

2. By Form

·       Complete the Dispute Form (PDF, 2 pages, 744KB)

·       Email: charge.back@aib.ie

What Information Do You Need?

·       Completed dispute form (if using option 2)

·       Supporting documents (e.g., receipts, cancellation proof, emails

You will need to send us these as soon as possible because Visa has strict timeframes.
