What is a dispute?

A dispute is a way in which your card issuer (AIB) can sometimes reverse a payment on your card back to the seller/supplier when you want to challenge it for some reason. You may also have heard this referred to as a chargeback. This is done through the Visa dispute resolution process. Not all disputes can be resolved in this way and there are strict rules and timelines in the process. It’s important to get in touch with us as soon as possible if you want to dispute a transaction.
