What are my 'Historical Transactions'?
Historical Transactions can display transactions from two years ago up to the previous business day.
Historical Transactions also gives you additional information about your transaction in some cases. For example, if you made a transaction abroad in a foreign currency, and you click on the transaction to expand it, the local currency and local currency amount will be displayed.

Who can view Historical Transactions?
Historical Transactions are available to all users of AIB Internet Banking, for your current accounts and credit card accounts. To view your Historical Transactions:
In Internet Banking
Log in to AIB Internet Banking
Select 'Historical Transactions' within the 'Accounts menu'
Choose which account you wish to view by selecting the current account/credit card from the drop down list at the top of the screen.
You can also access Historical Transactions from the Pending Transactions or Recent Transactions as follows:
Click on the 'Historical' button
Click on the account you wish to view Historical Transactions for
In the Mobile Banking app:
Log into the AIB Mobile Banking app
Tap on the account you wish to view Historical Transactions on
Tap the “Search” button on the purple Transaction heading bar above your recent transactions list
In Kiosk Banking:
Log onto the Kiosk
Select the account from the 'Account Overview' main menu button.
Touch the 'Historical Transactions' button and search for the transactions or range of criteria you are looking for.

How do I choose which 'Historical Transactions' display?
Historical Transactions are displayed for each of your current accounts or credit card accounts.
Once the Historical Transactions screen is open, by default it shows transactions from the 1st of the previous month, up to yesterday’s date. You can use the search tool to find transactions in the previous 2 years based on; date, amount, description or category.

How do I export my 'Historical Transactions'?
Historical Transactions enables you to export your transactions to a CSV (Comma Separated Variable) file. This file can be opened in Microsoft Excel and other software (check your software's supporting documentation for a list of supported file formats).
To export your transactions:
Log into AIB Internet Banking
Select ‘Historical Transactions’ within the 'Accounts menu
Choose the account for which you want to export transactions by selecting the current account/credit card from the drop down list at the top of the screen
Refilter your transactions, if you wish, to only show the transactions you wish to export
Click on the 'Export' button on the following page, and either open or save the file when prompted
Note: Some data may display incorrectly due to the formatting standards of the software used to open the file.

How do I view cheque images in 'Historical Transactions'?
Historical Transactions also enables you to view images of cheques debited from your Current Account. You will need an AIB Card Reader to view cheque images. You may also print a copy of this image if you wish. To view a cheque image:
Log into AIB Internet Banking
Select ‘Historical Transactions’ within the 'Accounts menu'
Choose the account from which the cheque was debited by selecting the current account from the drop down list at the top of the screen
Click on the + symbol to the right of the cheque transaction you wish to view an image of
Click on the ‘view cheque image’ button
Enter the requested code from your AIB Card Reader
You may print the cheque image by clicking on the ‘Print Cheque’ button and following the prompts on screen.
