How do I open a New Current Account?

Would you like to become an AIB customer? If you live in the Republic of Ireland are aged 16 and over and have a passport (or other acceptable ID documents), you can now open an account using the AIB Mobile Banking app.  

Download the app, click on ‘Become an AIB customer’ and follow the steps to start the process.

You will need to have your passport or ID documents with you.

You can download AIB's Mobile Banking App from the Google Play or Apple App store.

If you are an AIB Internet Banking customer, you can open a new Personal Account or Advantage Account online.

1. Log in to AIB Internet Banking

2. Click on Apply & Open and select Current Accounts

3. Follow the instructions on screen to complete your request.
