Do I need to add a travel note to my AIB Credit or Debit Card?

You no longer need to let us know when you are travelling abroad.

With our Fraud Text Alerts we will monitor spend on your debit and credit card and we may text you if we notice any suspicious activity on your card. The text will come from AIB and you will be asked to respond with a '1' or '9' to confirm your use of the card.

The text will come from the following numbers,

Debit Cards +353 86 180 3367

Personal Credit Cards +353 86 180 3392

Business Credit Cards +353 86 180 0846

These numbers are for texting only, so if you call these numbers they won't be answered. We will never ask you to send personal information by text.

It is important that your contact details are kept up to date with us especially your mobile number.

If you need to update your mobile number with us you can do  this on AIB Internet Banking, find out how you do this. Alternatively, you can call the number on the back of your card.
