    AIB Internet Banking

    1. Log into AIB Internet Banking.

     

    2. Click on Pay & Transfer

     

    - To transfer money to one of your other AIB accounts, click on Between My Accounts

    - To transfer money to another RoI account, click on Another Irish Account

     

    3. Follow the instructions on screen to complete your transfer request.

     

    It's important to have the IBAN, or NSC & Account Number for the receiving account.

     

    You will also need your AIB Card Reader to complete transfers to 3rd party accounts.

     

    If you would like to save account details for future payments, click on Payees to save the details for use again.

    AIB Mobile Banking

    1. Log in to AIB Mobile Banking.

     

    2. Go to the Pay & Transfer menu. 

     

    3. Select the option to suit your request:

     

    • To another RoI account - these are accounts you set up previously using Internet or Tablet Banking, or by one of Customer Service Advisors in Phone Banking.

    • Between My Accounts 

     

    4. Follow the instructions to complete your request. 

     

    One Off Payment 
    If this is your first time to use the mobile app to make this type of transfer,  you will need to enrol your mobile phone.

     

    To complete  enrolment you will need three items:

     

    1. Mobile Number

    2. A Debit Card

    3. Valid Date of Birth on file

     

    Follow the instructions on screen to complete set up. You will be sent an SMS with a code which you will need to enter and will be asked for the above security information. Once enrolment is completed you will not need to complete this again unless you change your mobile phone or delete the mobile app.

     

    You will have the option to complete a one off payment to someone new through the To another RoI account option. There are some security features for this payment type: 

     

    - The IBAN must be Irish i.e. it starts with IE 

     

    - €1,000 is the daily limit - you can make as many payments as you like, up to the daily limit.

     

    - The IBAN won't be saved for future use

    AIB Tablet Banking

    1. Log in to AIB Tablet Banking

     

    2. Click on Pay & Transfer

     

    3. Select the option to suit your request

     

    - To transfer money to one of your other AIB accounts, click on Between My Accounts.

     

    - To transfer money to another RoI account, click on Another Irish Account

     

    4. Follow the instructions on screen to complete your request.

    AIB Phone Banking

    1. Call our Phone Banking service on 0818 724 724 (+353 1 771 24 24 from outside Ireland). 

     

    2. Select option 1, enter your security details and press 3 to Pay a bill or transfer money. 

     

    - Click on option 2 to transfer money and follow the prompts to complete your request. 

     

    You can only transfer to another ROI account that has been previously set up using Internet or Tablet Banking, or by one of our Customer Service team.

    In Your Branch

    Visit the Quick Banking Area where you can use the Kiosk, the In-branch courtesy phone, or get assistance at the Customer Service Desk to complete your request. 

     

    You will need your AIB Card Reader for requests over the phone. 

     

    Proof of Identification may be required for Customer Service assistance.
