Password for Online Purchases

If you do not have the AIB Mobile Banking app to confirm your online purchases, we have another option. You will need to set up a Password to confirm your purchases instead.

When shopping online and you are asked to confirm it’s really you using your card, you will be asked to enter the password you created along with a one-time passcode sent to your phone.

How you set up a password for online purchases will depend on if you are registered for AIB Phone and Internet Banking. If you’re not registered for AIB Phone and Internet Banking, we have an option for you. For more, see further

If you are a registered AIB Phone and Internet Banking customer you can set up a password by logging on to Internet or Mobile Banking. However, using the AIB Mobile Banking app to confirm your purchases is the easiest option.

How do I reset my Password for Online Purchases if I’m registered for AIB Phone and Internet Banking?

If you are not registered for AIB Phone and Internet Banking, that’s OK, instead we will need you to set up a digital profile first, this profile lets you log in to AIB services using your email address and password.
