Can I place a temporary freeze on my AIB cards?

You can freeze your card if you cannot find it, notice any unusual transactions, think your card details may not be safe or if you think your card is lost.
1. Log in to your app.
2. Tap the ‘Cards’ option in the bottom tab.
3. Choose the card you want to ‘Freeze’.
4. Tap the ‘Freeze’ button.
  - In the app you can freeze personal and business debit cards as well as personal credit cards.
  - Freezing your card will stop most payments going through. However, regular payments or small payments that don’t need to be approved may still go through.
  - You can freeze and unfreeze your card at any time by tapping the ‘Freeze’ or ‘Unfreeze’ button under the card.
If you think you have mislaid your card, here's how you can put a temporary Freeze on it:
1. Log in to Freeze your card by clicking the button below.
2. Select your Credit or Debit card, and select Freeze Card.
Please Note:

You should only do this as a temporary measure. When the freeze is in place you will be unable to use your card.

If you find your card, follow the steps above but select the 'Unfreeze Card' option and use your card again as normal. If you can't find your card, you should cancel it straight away by reporting it as lost/stolen online.
