COVID-19 - 3 Month Payment Break (Moratorium/Interest Only) Request for Home Loan and Buy to Let Mortgages

 It is important to note that when the moratorium or interest only period ends, your monthly repayments over the remaining term of your loan will be increased to ensure that your mortgage will be repaid (together with interest due) within its original term.

In order for the 3 month moratorium or interest only period to be effective before your next scheduled repayment date, please ensure that you submit the below form at least 7 working days before that date.

For Home Loan customers with Tax Relief at Source (TRS). TRS is only granted on mortgage interest paid in the current year. As a result of suspending your payments you may pay less interest this year than you would otherwise and this may mean a reduction in your TRS entitlement for the year. 

If you are currently on an agreed alternative repayment arrangement with the Bank, your current mortgage repayments are restructured to a sustainable level that is affordable for you. At the end of this moratorium/interest only period if your new mortgage repayment amount is no longer sustainable for you please contact us in the month before the moratorium expires.
