I have received a refund directly from a service provider, does this mean I don’t need to make a payment on my credit card this month?

Refunds are not treated as payments on a credit card account so you will still need to make your payment as normal. The refund will reduce your overall balance, which will then reduce the amount you’ll need to pay on your next statement.
