What is happening on 24 May?
From 24 May, changes will apply to Building Energy Rating (BER) certificates which introduces a simplified BER scale removing sub-categories (A1/A2 B1 etc) and replacing them with (A–G) and a new A0 category will be created for the most energy efficient homes. This means that any new BER certificates issued from this date onward will follow the updated BER standards set out by the SEAI.
