How do I search for or cancel a cheque on my account?

AIB Internet Banking
1. Log in to AIB Internet Banking.
2. Click on Services & Setting
3. Select Cheques (Alternatively you can select your account in Accounts, click on the Account Management button and select Cheques).
You will be presented with four options:
Search / Stop a Cheque
Stop Multiple Cheques
Remove Stop Cheque, and
Stop Cheques History
4. Click on the required option and follow the instructions to complete your request.
Important Notes:
If a cheque(s) has debited your account, it cannot be cancelled
You will not be able to remove a stop on an individual cheque which had originally been stopped as part of a Multiple Cheques Stop.
You will need your AIB Card Reader to confirm your request to remove a stop from a cheque(s).
Please note: You will need the number of the cheque you wish to search for.

AIB Phone Banking
Call our Phone Banking service on 0818 724 724 (+353 1 771 24 24 from outside Ireland).
Select option 1 and enter your security details.
To search for a cheque(s):
Select option 1 for Additional Account Balances and Transaction Information and then option 3 to search for a cheque. Follow the prompts to complete your request.
Please note: You will need the number of the cheque you wish to search for.
To cancel a cheque:
Select 0 to speak with an agent.
