We are making changes to our debit card terms and conditions, to introduce a new service called ‘Click to Pay’.
Click to Pay is a secure online checkout service that lets you make purchases with participating retailers without entering your card details each time. This service is offered by AIB, together with Visa, and is separate from click to pay services offered by Visa.
The table below outlines the changes we are making to the debit card terms and conditions. The new set of debit card terms and conditions come into effect on the 20 May 2026. We’ve also included links on this page where you can read the current debit card terms and conditions, as well as the new version.
Please let anyone with an additional debit card on your account know about these changes. If you are under 18, you may need to discuss this with a parent or guardian.
Do I need to do anything?
To accept these changes, you don’t need to do anything.
If you don’t want to accept these debit card terms and conditions changes, you can cancel your debit card before 20 May 2026. You can do this by contacting us on (01) 2695022, or from outside of Ireland on + 353 1 2695022 (Monday-Friday 9:00-17:00, except bank holidays).
