Withdrawing from Your Contract During the Cooling-Off Period (Within 14 Days)

If you purchase an insurance policy and decide it’s not suitable for you, you have the right to withdraw from (cancel) the contract within a specific timeframe, known as the cooling-off period. Here's what you need to know:

When exercising your right of withdrawal by email we will require the following information included within the email:
 
  • Policy number
  • Full name
  • Car registration number on the policy you wish to withdraw from
  • You must also return your Certificate of Insurance and Motor Disc when cancelling, whether during or after the cooling-off period.

What You Get:

If you cancel within 14 working days from when you purchase your policy and have received your policy documents, we will refund your full premium — the total amount you paid.

What You Receive:

If you cancel after the cooling-off period has ended, we will refund the part of your premium that covers the remaining days of the policy, minus an administration fee.
 
  • We will not refund less than €15.
  • If you are paying in instalments, we do not refund any amount unless you made an overpayment.
  • No refund is available if a claim has been made on your policy or you have been involved in any incident likely to result in a claim during the current period of insurance.

Special Note for Motor Policies

If your policy covers a vehicle (motor policy), you must also return your Certificate of Insurance and Motor Disc when cancelling, whether during or after the cooling-off period.
