We are letting customers know about an error we made on some business customers’ Finance and Leasing accounts. We are sorry for this and have taken action to correct the error.
We made an error when we sent some customers their credit agreement for signing and did not use the repayment amount we quoted to these customers, instead we used a repayment based on a higher interest rate. This resulted in higher charges and repayment amounts than these customers would have expected.
We will refund any customer affected by this error either by way of a refund to their AIB current account (called ‘AIB Refund T305’), or by cheque.
We will be writing to all customers affected by this error, so they do not need to do anything. Everything will be corrected by 14 March 2024.
