How do I set up and manage direct debits for paying on my AIB Credit Card?

This service is available for sole accounts only. 

1. Log in to AIB Internet Banking

2. Click on Manage my Cards

3. Choose the relevant credit card and click on Setup Single Euro Payments Area (SEPA) Direct Debit

4. Follow the instructions on screen to complete your request.

You will need your AIB Card Reader to set up a direct debit on your AIB Credit Card.

To amend or cancel your direct debit, go to Pay & Transfer and click on Direct Debits. You will be presented with a list of your direct debits, select the required option and follow the steps to complete your request. 

Important to note

• Direct Debits will take effect after 2 business days, therefore if your current statement payment due date falls within the next 2 business days your new Direct Debit will not be effective for payment until your next Credit Card statement payment due date. You can find the payment due date on your most recent statement. You should check this date before setting up a Direct Debit online to pay your Credit Card bill.

• The cut off times will display on screen when you are cancelling the direct debit.

• While AIB will cancel your Direct Debit, it is your responsibility to inform the Originator of this cancellation and to make any alternative payment arrangements necessary.

You need to fill in a direct debit mandate form.

Visit the Quick Banking Area where you can use the Kiosk.

It's important to have your Credit Card or National Sort Code (NSC) & Account number ready.
