Changes to Current Account Fees & Service Charges from 1 July 2026

From 1 July 2026, we’re replacing our quarterly maintenance and transaction fees with a simple €6 monthly fee for all Personal customers. For our Private Banking customers, we’re replacing our Private Banking quarterly maintenance and transaction fees with a simple €20 monthly fee.

We are also removing a range of service charges for customers with Personal accounts, Business accounts, Masterplan and Demand Deposit accounts. Here are the details.

The €6 monthly fee covers an unlimited number of transactions in euro on your account such as payments, taking cash out and putting money in your account.

These are the fees we charge now.	This is what we will charge from 1 July.
1. Account maintenance fee - €4.50 per quarter 2. Using your debit card (chip & pin, shopping online and tapping your card/phone) - €0.20 per transaction (tapping fee is currently waived) 3. Automated payments (such as direct debits, standing orders, electronic payments to and from your account) - €0.20 per transaction 4. Self-service transactions (ATM, Cash & Cheque Lodgement Machine Lodgements) - €0.35 per transaction 5. Branch transactions (staff-assisted branch transactions, for example, taking money out or putting money into your account) - €0.39 per transaction 6. Cheques in lodgements - €0.20 per transaction 7. Writing cheques - €0.39 per transaction	€6 per month
We are also removing these service charges:
1. When there is not enough money in your account to cover a payment (Unpaid fee for direct debits, standing orders and cheques) - €10 per transaction 2. When a cheque that you paid into your account is returned to us because the other bank cannot pay out the money from their own customer’s account (cheque returned unpaid) - €4.44 per cheque 3. When we put a payment through on your account but there is not enough money in your account to cover it (known as a Referral fee) - €5.15 per transaction 4. When you ask us for a copy of a previous statement (Duplicate statement) - €3 per page 5. Staff assisted setting up a standing order (Standing order set-up) - €4.50 per standing order 6. Staff assisted changing a standing order (Standing order amend/cancel) - €2.50 per standing order 7. When a foreign cheque that you paid into your account, is returned to us because the foreign bank cannot pay out the money from their own customer’s account, or, when a cheque you wrote is lodged to a foreign account but there is not enough money in your account to cover the payment (Foreign cheque returned unpaid) - €8.88 per cheque	From 1 July 2026 there will be no charge for any of these items

The €6 monthly fee covers nearly all aspects of day-to-day usage of your account. However, some other fees and charges (not listed above) remain unchanged such as fees for any non-euro transactions, purchase of drafts, urgent transfers and overdraft facilities.
