Who can Apply
The AIB Graduate Account is available to anyone who holds an AIB Student Plus Account and has graduated from full time third level education in the last two years, or anyone new to AIB who has graduated from a full time third level course of three years duration or more in the last two years.
AIB Graduate Account Benefits
Banking free of maintenance and transaction fees: You will not be charged account maintenance and transaction fees on your AIB Graduate Account. Bank Service Charges will apply; full details of our fees and charges are published in 'A Guide to Fees and Charges for Personal Accounts'. This booklet is available here or from any AIB branch.
AIB Debit Card can be used in Ireland and Abroad. Terms and conditions apply. Debit Cards are liable to an annual Government Stamp Duty charge which is applied in January of each year. For more information please click on AIB Debit Card.
Note: The AIB Graduate Account and associated benefits are valid from the date you open your account either as a new account or by conversion of your existing AIB Student Plus Account for a maximum period of two years. The preferential benefits of the AIB Graduate Account are only available to AIB Graduate Account holders.

In your local branch
If you are planning to open a new AIB Graduate Account in a branch, why not save time by printing and filling out your AIB Graduate Account Application Form and then call into or send this application form to any AIB Branch along with your proof of identity/address (see below).
Gather together your identification documents
In order to comply with legislation to combat money laundering and terrorism financing, we will need to see suitable documentation to verify both your identity and your current permanent address.
What you need:
Proof of Identity: a valid Passport, Driver’s Licence, National Identity Card
(The name on your photographic identification must exactly match the name on your proof of address).
Proof of Current Permanent Address (documents must be no more than 6 months old): Utility Bill, Correspondence from a Regulated financial institution (insurance/assurance co., bank, building society, credit card co.), Correspondence from a government department/body.
Proof of Graduation: You also need to provide evidence of graduation (eg. a letter from your College or a Certificate of Graduation).
Remember, we can’t accept photocopies of documents, so please bring the originals!
